Question Anyone else have a sweet Taste?

Hi! I was just wondering if anyone else has a constant sweet taste in their month. I do and I notice it more when I Exhale and it's been like this for about a month 1/2. I feel great, so I'm Guessing this is normal.

I think that would be the fruity breath some people report. Some also talk about a metallic taste. The downside is that ketosis can cause bad breath.

Question Yvonne326

I have no Appetite either and their are times where I have to force myself to eat, makes a little sick to my stomach. I also have strong and dark urine and I know I'm not dehydrated I drink about 100Oz of water every day. It Helps to know that this is a common occurance, but will it stay like this always or just till we get to the last stage and up the carbs more?

It's fruit punch flavor actually......saves the expense of buying fruit flavored water or chewing juicy fruit gum......

I would be concerned about having dark urine even after drinking so much water. It could be a sign of other complications. I don't think that's a normal occurrence with other Atkineers. Do you mean it is flourescent? If that was the case, it would be from your vitamins.

In the morning when I first get up it's dark in color but through the day it's flourescent.

I've never had the "breath" thing, neither tasting nor smelling. I bugged my DH to kingdom come when I fist went Atkins, asking him about bad breath--he always said "no" and believe me, the way I hounded him, he would have told me just to get me off his back!

dark urine: mine is almost clear throughout the day, "darkest" in the morning but not even really dark then

but that's just my experience

I also had sweet breath during induction, not really metalic. And I also wondered if that was the same thing others were reporting. But I guess it was. Actually, I liked that breath better than my former carb-laden breath!

I love having the sweet metallic taste in my mouth... it lets me know I am still in ketosis....I've got a major case of it right now.
