Default Intro...

OK..Have a little extra time before we ring in 2002 so I thought I would go ahead and post my intro now. Started Atkins in Feb 2002..I started at 264lbs, currently I weight 180 with 30 more pounds to go. I have been on it faithfully and very strictly. I have not cheated once, nor have I gained back one pound. I am monitored by my family doctor. The biggest thing is I work out daily. This has been a major life changing thing for me. I tried everything under the sun to lose weight without success. This diet has worked for me. I do a little bit of a drastic version of it but its the only thing that works. If anyone needs any help or support. Please let me know. I know how hard it is to start this and keep it up but I had to make up my mind to finally do it for ME. That was the key. I was always trying to lose weight to please someone else, this time it was to please me and it worked. I love working out. I walk everyday and 3-4 times a week I workout to Denise Austin on Lifetime TV. I also have the Buns of Steel and Legs of Steel tapes from Tamilee Webb. I think its important to stress that excercise is a MUST or else all that weight you lose will leave you with loose skin and no toned muscles. Please drop me a line anytime if you need any help or tips. I am always willing to help anyone. I've been married 8 years, no kids, just one big fat cat named Sam. I used to hide and not go anywhere or do anything. I felt alot of shame...but now my husband smiles all the time because he can't keep up with me
Please don't give up. Do this for yourself. Thanks and I am happy I found this board. Wish I had this site back in Feb...
So Stay Strong..DO this for YOU...because YOU are worth it!

Smile Happy New Year, Everyone!

Happy New Year To All:
I am just joining the group today, New Years Day 2002. I am doing the Atkins' Diet again since 11-26-01. I admit that I have cheated some during this holiday season. I am 43 yrs. old, married, with 2 grown sons. My current weight is 250 lbs. My goal weight is 130 lbs. I want to achieve my goal weight or get within 20 lbs. of it by 12-31-02. I plan to continue to follow the Atkins plan and do low impact aerobics at least 5 times per week. I have joined the group for information, support, and motivation. I look forward to being a part of this community this year as we all work toward reaching our goals with the low carb way of life. Best Wishes to Everyone!

Hi CT and welcome.

There's lots of good information and support here on this board, to help you on your journey.

I recommend you open a Journal in the Journal section of this board. Lots of supporters will visit your journal and keep you motivated and help you out with any problems you might have. It's a great way to keep yourself on track to meeting your goals.

And by all means browse through everybody elses journal - it really helps get a perspective on things and find friends who have similar stats and metabolisms as your own.
