Thanks CalicoCat...I will do that...Do you list everything you eat in a day in your journal?.....When did you start to add more carbs?....I started but I am really not brave about it.....Julie

Hi Julie,

I don’t list what I eat in my journal anymore. I list it on my fitday. Believe me, it is much more help to me this way. With fitday, I immediately see what I did wrong and why, where I could do better and how. The more I use it, the more I like it. I list only my results on my journal.

I never started to add more carbs because I always ate more carbs. I never did Atkins so I never did the induction where people eat so little carbs. I used to do Montignac and I lowered my carb when I started general low carbing.

Hi CalicoCat......

Do you have a limit of carbs you can have in one day?....I have lost the weight I wanted and now I have started to add more but only 5 per week....I will try to add 5 per day every week.....Do you work out?....

Julie

In the winter, I do Pilates at home about 3 times a week and go outside cross-country skiing when the weather is right and my knees/elbows/ankles/feet are not bothering me.

As for how many carbs I eat, it depends. If my liver is upset, I need to reduce my fat and proteins so the carbs will be higher. My averages are between 70g net carb to 40 net carb. I always try to keep it under 100g total carb anyway.

TBoneMitch, the difference? They taste better at the sugar shack
OK, I am just as confused as you are. Now what is that Optimal Diet?

Julie, on Montignac I was not counting my carbs but it must have been around 200g daily. Then I slowly cut those down until my liver got upset, around 40g daily, I think. I know all of you do it the other way around. Get your carbs really low and then start to eat more. That’s not what I am doing. I am trying to find a balance where all parts of my body will stop complaining. It is like living in a democracy, it’s not going anywhere because everyone has it’s little complain to make.

Hi CalicoCat.....I started with somersizing ... I did this for over a year...I never lost but I didn't gain either....I also cheated quite abit with wine (almost everynight at dinner) and sometimes beer....I did felt really good somersizing....I than stopped the wine and beer (maybe once a month ) and started to gain....That is when I decided to count carbs and its finally working.....

I am feeling really good and like you....I am really paying attention to my system....

Julie
