When I have it, I usually eat it right out of the container with my finger!
Traditionally, it's used with scones for afternoon tea, but you can add flavouring to it. Some lemon juice and rind would be great with asparagus and broccoli for example. Or, use it in place of whipping cream in sauces. Be careful about cooking it too long because the high butter fat content will cause it to separate quickly.
I'm not sure if the stuff in the jar can be whipped because it's been "canned", but try it and tell us what happened.
