Thumbs up The Real TDC Sixth Fitness Challenge Sign Up Thread!

The Sixth TDC Fitness Challenge!

A group of your fellow TDC members decided to form our own challenge last year, and it’s been a great motivator to make a real commitment to exercise. Our goals have been to increase our physical fitness over the course of eight weeks without incurring any kind of injury.

Some of us felt overwhelmed by other fitness challenges on the forum, some too intense, some too specific, and some with participants trying to match the measurements of a Barbie doll.

There is no minimum level of activity here that is too small. For that matter, no maximum level, either. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or fitness newbie, we can encourage each other to do our best.

The TDC Fitness Challenges are not about going from 'no activity' to 'stair-stepping for 120 minutes straight' in two months. We want to take reasonable steps to improve our health and stay motivated enough to keep moving.

Here's a link to the Fifth Challenge to see what they've been like.

Our New Challenge starts Monday, June 7th and will continue for eight weeks. Why not join us? We’d love the company!

Sign up here and I’ll contact you when the official thread is open on the Countdown, Buddies and Challenges sub forum.

Count me in Monika! I love the bathing suit that I got myself as a reward for the last challenge. Now I need some new walking/hiking shoes so this will give me that incentive to set a new goal .

Count me in. I have been going to Curves (approximately 3 times per week) the past 2 months but need to add some walking or bike riding. Hopefully this will give me the incentive.

Sign me up! I need some motivation for sure. I love to exercise, but lately haven't been so good about it.

Talking Oh, I want to do this!

Monika,

Please count me in! I'm getting excited. I signed up for another challenge but I don't know if I'll stick to that one because there are several experienced challengers and maybe competition. Definitely here!

Count me in too. . . my commitment is to take a minimum of 6,000 steps a day (thanks to my trusty pedometer) and get that to 10,000 a day on the weekends.
