I'm up. Not exactly bright-eyed and bushy-tailed . . . more like bleary-eyed and scraggly-tailed.

Work is becoming intense, which is part of the reason I haven't been around much. Plus all the other things that are going on.

It's poured here every day since last Saturday. They say it will clear up by this afternoon and be nice for the weekend, but then rain again on Monday.

So what are everyone's plans for the holiday weekend? Having no life, I also have no plans. Think maybe we can throw together a low-carb virtual picnic?

Virtual picnic..sounds good. My plans changed too this weekend, I was supposed to see my friend who is an EMT part time. She was asked to work this Sat so there went our day. Oh well, they are opening up the pool at my apt so I will sun and veg.

I seem to be bloating up and I think it's because I am eating more food at work than I did when I was home. I am going to try and see if I can change things around a bit this weekend. May try and cook more snacks to bring instead of depending on bars, etc. And I'm tired and cranky and want to throw toys. Got the picture? Wonder if PMS morphs into something else after menopause
Dessert is definately my downfall, need to find something to 'close ' my meal and make it NOT ice cream, even the lc stuff.Your cheesecake maybe? Freeze the slices??

I'd opt for SF jello with whipped cream. That cheesecake is dangerous. It's a small step from "This is a really nice dessert" to "Well, this has only good stuff in it (eggs, cream cheese, sour cream, protein powder, almonds), surely it makes a good breakfast." There's only one piece left . . . and when did I make it?

I'd stay away from the cheesecake. Freezing individual slices might help, but only if you put a padlock on the freezer door and throw away the key.

Last night I made a marble cheesecake. I just saved out about a cup of the filling and added some SF chocolate syrup. Then dolloped it on top of the "white" filling and swirled it in. Looks really good.

Cranky pants? Ouch

What , are we having our own private forum today? Oh well, maybe the group will see how many posts there are and show up, haha.

I get hungry from SF jello. I may look into doing the unsweetened koolaid and using splenda recipe floating around on the web.

Good morning ladies, can I join in the game? I have been up and going for awhile trying to get some laundry and cleaning going before my neighbor and family show up. The piles are getting really big and want to try and climb out before I can't see over them. The neighbors are leaving tomorrow morning for their new house. I have had the two kids most of the week while mom was at the new house. They are taking hubby and I out for a really nice steak dinner. One less dinner to make

Desserts, I did SF jello with some cream cheese and folded in some cool whip. It tastes pretty yummy! The kids kept saying it tasted like ice cream. I used 8 oz cream cheese and 1 sm cool whip with a large jello. Made the jello and let it partially set before I blended in the rest. It made alot of servings I figure 4 carbs for 1/2 c which is still less than my 8 carbs for cheesecake. It is a lot less time too!!!

I loved the virtual picnic, I check in to see what everyone brings. It will probably be the only way to have a picnic since it suppose to rain and be pretty nasty Sunday and Monday.

Therese

I thought that I would pay PP Pals a visit. This is gonna be a cheesecake weekend for me. I want to make it all chocolate though. I might go to the lc cafe and get some sf choc syrup. I do have cocoa powder.

DH wants me to make my LC fried chicken for the holiday. My family does not eat LC but they eat everything that I eat. So I will also make potato salad from potatoes for them and cauliflower for me. I am gonna make some kind of Southern cooked greens. DH seems to like spinach. I eat spinach but not a fan od it.

Hi, all. I just want to mention that I posted a new pic in my gallery that was taken the other day at work. The background looks funny because it was taken in front of safety glass that has the wire embedded in it.

I'm thinking of changing my avatar pic (the one that shows up with each post). What do you think?

Hmmm. I just tried to change the pic. It needs to be 100 x 100, and I can't get it down that far.

Can anyone help? I'll send you the pic.
