Default Found Low Carb Flat Bread!

FINALLY! At my local Wegmans last weekend, I found a low carb flat bread. It's called Carb Down and you get four HUGE oblong flat breads for about $3.50. I have been cutting them in half, because they are also very thick. 6 carbs per flat bread, which is not bad for the size of them. Finally something to put my tuna salad in!

Flatout Carb Down is fabulous! There are some recipe suggestions on the back of the package. We have enjoyed making pizzas with these. Just make sure you brush with olive oil and a little garlic and bake first. This allows for a crispier crust. And of course, they make wonderful wraps. We have used the original flavor and italian herb. I'm in Florida and have only found them at super Walmarts. I should check out Albertsons......the website says they carry it. Speaking of websites, the last time I visited it(www.Delections.com), they still didn't have the Carb Down products listed.

moonwalker, you refer to the regular flatbreads...which, yes, is 17 net carbs per half flatbread. the "carb down" variety is 8 net carbs per flatbread (4 per half). i'm guessing the other varieties are higher, perhaps giving you 6 net carbs per half flatbread, but i have only bought the original flavor.

SpecialK, It's called Flatout Carb Down. I find it in the Deli section of Super Walmart.

It's been around for a while at Walmart.I bought it once. Made some fried cinnamon triangles out of it.

I have searched everywhere also. I finally called the company. They did call me back and instructed me to go to their web site and print out a purchase request and bring it into my Super Wal Mart. I did this and would you believe Wal Mart called me back about 2 days later to inform me that there warehouse did not carry them so my Wal Mart can not get them. I asked what to do next and the nice lady on the other end of the line told me that she has put in a request to the warehouse to stock this product because they have had quite a few requests. She said she would call again if they do strart supplying. The purchase request was to be turned in to the deli department. Blessings, Karen
