As I wrote in an earlier post, I am writing a letter on the health benefits of this WOL. I know what my benefits have been, but would also like to include some other's. So please let me know how this WOL has improved your physical, and mental health. Any and all responses will be appreciated.

i don't have any documented (i.e. blood tests) to prove my improved self, but i'll tell you what i do know.
eating low carb has leveled out my moods. i have always been called a swinger (moods ) now, i'm pretty much even.
my skin has improved. i have been cursed over the last year and a half with cystic acne. since low carbing, not a one.
don't know if it counts, but my motivation is stronger. choosing not to eat sugar/starches is very easy now.
i have lost a little weight, but not in the typical way i have in the past. my weight (fat) loss has been from all over this time, not just starting in my chest and moving down. my backside and thighs would always be the last to lose, now it's not like that.
and last but not least, the major benefit of lc is having this forum to vent, congratulate, inform, ask, and laugh with ya'll.
regards,
brenda

my cholesterol has dropped 20 points (it wasn't too high to begin with, but thats great)
my hair and nails look better than ever

I have had huge health improvements!!! LOL One side effect was my blood pressure went down but cause it was low to begin with I had to raise it. My cholestral hasnt been a problem but it even went down a bit. I have fibromyalgia and that is what motivated me in the 1st place to try this WOL. Im off meds and can exercise now like someone much much younger than me..lol. My moods are more stable. I sleep far better and have more energy. yahhoo

Default moody blues gone

I am not as moody as I used to be. I have a great deal more energy. I feel more focused and my concentration is better.
One big one - is after lunch at work- I don't feel like I need a 2 hour nap to get through the day. I am full of energy all day.
I usually get severe cramps with my "monthly" and for the first time in years this month, I hardly had any cramping at all. I was shocked. That is really a big one for me.
My hair seems shinier also.
I have not had my blood work redone after the one month, but will have it done on my 3 month mark.
