Cheezit Crackers
I got this idea from lowcarbfriends.com, they have a long thread going about them. These little crackers taste just like Cheezits and they're very easy to make.
Others use parchment paper, but since I don't have any I use one of my Dixie brand paper plates. Spray the parchment paper or the paper plate with Pam or something similar. Cut a piece of American cheese (use the real thing, not cheese food) into half's, then cut each half into half, then once more. You should end up with eight pieces.
Place the pieces of cheese in a circle around the outside of the plate or on the paper in a ring and microwave until they melt, puff up and start to brown. I have a big, high powered microwave, it takes 30 seconds in mine.
Slide the crackers off on a piece of paper towel to cool and make more. The crackers should be oblong lightly browned and crunchy. If they get a little too dark they still taste good.
These are so yummy, my kids even like them. They make good chips for dip as well. I use the Walmart brand of real American cheese, not individually wrapped. The label says 0 carbs for one slice.
Three slices makes enough crackers for one meal or snack. I count three slices as 2 carbs.
