I bought Michael Angelo's "hot pockets" today. they have 7 net carbs and are great. Two flavors, pizza & ham/cheese. They are also offering a pizza, 9 carbs for 1/2 pizza.

Hi Ya'll,
I thought I had better stand up and be counted. I live in Ardmore, and I think I have been to all the towns you all are from except about three at one time or another. I've been to Durant many times. I grew up in the City and have lived in the Ardmore area in most of my adult life. We lived in Duncan for a couple of years then moved to Indiana for a year, then back to Ardmore. My grandmother lived in Holdenville, and I used to spend time there in the summer. I had a good friend who used to live in Enid and I spent a week there with her once. I know there are at least three other LCers in Ardmore, my daughter, my son, and my daughter-in-law. I also know a few in Pauls Valley. Anyway, it's nice to know there are so many other Okies here. Hope ya'll have a great weekend.

I tried this link and it said there is no such group.
I live in Jenks and was interested in joining the group. Has the name changed?

I saw that someone mentioned making low carb soup here. Does anyone have a great lc soup that you have tried? If so, would you mind poting the recipe?
Thanks!

Well, You can take the girl out of Oklahoma, but you can't take the Oklahoma out of the girl!!
I lived in the itty bitty small town of Weleetka most of my life. I've also been in Holdenville and Okemah.
Married a man born and raised in West Virginia.
Any way I just thought I'd say Hi to all of you fellow Oklahomans.
4kidsmom, I have a great recipe for a LC soup. But I have to find it. As soon as I do I will post it.

OK Here's that recipe I promised you.

Roasted Pepper Soup

2 Tbsp olive oil 1 celery stalk, sliced
1/3 c. chopped onion 1 clove garlic
2 roasted red peppers, chopped
1 1/2 c. chicken stock
1/3 c heavy cream
1/4 c parmesan

Saute celery, onion, and garlic in oil about 5 minutes.
Add the peppers and chicken stock. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 3 minutes.
Transfer the mixture to blender. Add the cream and salt and pepper. Puree until smooth.
Sprinkle with parmesan.

I have no idea about the actual carb count. I just know it is low-carb. I have made this several times and I love it. It is not a pretty soup but it is good.

I use the red pepper out of a jar, rather than roasting them myself.
