I ordered a pedometer and it arrived yesterday. I'm gonna keep track of how many steps I take in a day and try to increase my movement a little each day. I sit around way too much; I want to reduce the time spent sitting on my behind.

This is from April 25th--the pedometer thing is not working out lately because I CAN NOT REMEMBER TO PUT IT ON EACH MORNING!!!!!!!!!

Sunday: walked on treadmill for 30 min.
Monday: walked on treadmill for 30 min./bike for 30 min./abs for 10 min.
Tuesday: walked on treadmill for 30 min./bike for 30 min./yoga for 30 min./abs for 10 min.

I'm trying to get back into my Yoga, not so much for any weight loss benefit, but for overall health and flexibility. It's really hard to do many of the postures at this size, but I did my best, modified the ones I couldn't do, or used props. It felt really good to stretch out like that.

PMS is zapping all my strength and energy--TOM's due any day now. HURRY, already, TOM!!! I got NO exercise done yesterday, despite my plans to exercise. I SLEPT on and off all day and never managed to get the exercising done. Sucks. So I end the week with less exercise than last week--the 30 min. yoga sessions don't really count for much as far as fat burn.

Sunday: walked on treadmill for 30 min.
Monday: walked on treadmill for 30 min./bike for 30 min./abs for 10 min.
Tuesday: walked on treadmill for 30 min./bike for 30 min./yoga for 30 min./abs for 10 min.
Wednesday: bike for 30 min./yoga for 30 min. (no 'mill or abs)
Thursday: walked on treadmill for 30 min./bike for 30 min./yoga for 30 min./abs for 10 min.
Friday: walked on treadmill for 45 min./bike for 30 min./yoga for 30 min./abs for 10 min.
Saturday: Zip, Zero, Nada

Totals for the week: Treadmill: X5, Bike X5, Yoga X4, Abs X4

Not really bad, considering a little over a month ago I was struggling just to get 3X a week on the 'Mill and doing nothing but the treadmill at the time.

But today starts a brand shiny new week. The BowFlex STILL has not arrived!!!!!! So, it's the same old same old until that sucker gets here.

Exercise goals this week: nothing amazing, just a slight increase. Shooting for 6 days on the 'Mill and I want at least 3 of those days to be 45 minute sessions. If I feel really bad from TOM, I'm not going to push myself--so we shall wait and see. Bike five times, Yoga--about the same, maybe 5 days. And the Abs--I only did that 4X this week and I don't like that. Shooting for 5/6 days with that. There's not any excuse not to do the Abs--only takes 10 minutes after all.

Oh, and if/when the BowFlex arrives, I'll just have to squeeze that in as I can. No set schedule on that since I don't even have the thing yet.

Sunday: Treadmill for 45 min./Bike for 30 min./Yoga for 30 min./Abs for 10 min.
Monday: Treadmill for 45 min./Bike for 30 min./Abs for 15 min.

Tuesday: Treadmill for 25 min./Abs for 15 min.

What is my excuse for yesterday? I felt icky and crampy from TOM's arrival. I've worked through that before, but yesterday I flopped out big time and gave up after 25 minutes. Of course, I PLANNED to do the bike too, but my mom came up to visit and, well, it was sooooo hot. (Having AC problems as of late). I'm really hard on myself when I skip exercise, or slack off. Sometimes during TOM it's so hard to get any exercise done. Just wimping out? I have this self-critical inner voice that is telling me, "If you won't force yourself to exercise through the heat (and TOM pain) you deserve to stay fat." Any exercise is better than nothing, though. My natural inclination is to baby myself during TOM when I feel awful physically. OMG, these cramps make me want to lay down on the couch and cry. It's not "normal" cramping, it's this constant burning pain from navel down and goes so deep, all the way to my backbone. Advil will not touch this pain.

Listen to me complain. Or better yet, don't listen!!!

Will I get my regular exercising done today? All of it? I don't know. Honestly, I don't know. I have plenty of energy thanks to the Relacore (man, I'm loving that stuff!); way more energy than usual for TOM. I will try to get MOST of it done.

Haven't done any Yoga in four days. TOM, TOM GO AWAY!!!! Also slacked off on the 'mill a couple times. I've got two days left this week, and I remember setting some weekly exercise goals....

I guess I will exercise today and then take Saturday off from everything but maybe Yoga and Abs. I missed my goal on Yoga--no real excuse for that. Yoga would have made my TOM cramps better.

Treadmill X6 Bike X5 Abs X6 Yoga X1

Fell off on the Yoga for some reason. I dunno why. Could make excuses but I won't. I'm soooo mad that the BowFlex is not HERE yet. It's been almost five weeks since we ordered it. (Sales dude said it'd take 3)

I might go mow the lawn (or part of it anyway) so that'll be some additional calories burned. (Push mowing this HUGE yard!!!)

I've been thinking about running lately, wondering if my knees are forever damaged inside or if it's simply the weight I'm carrying that causes trouble for me. DH has started using the 'mill regularly (I inspired him ) and he talks about starting running for cardio after he begins his resistance training. If my knees are okay, I'd really, really like to start running one day. I've always wanted to run. *sigh*
