Question How often do you weigh yourself?

Hi! Was just wondering how often everyone weighs themselves while doing Atkins. I'm on my second week of induction and can't stay away from the freakin scale. I know its a bad habit. So was just curious how often most people weigh themselves. And is up 1.5 lbs overnight normal? I'm thinking its from the soup I made lastnight, more salt them I'm use to maybe.

Previously I was weighing myself every day so I could enter it into my food log program I wrote for myself. I started living and dying by what I saw every morning.

I threw away my scale for a couple of months. I just got one again to track my progress for the next couple weeks.

After that I will cut down to maybe once a week. BUT ... I bought a tape measure and am tracking that once a week as well ... I haven't done that before ... I am seeing progress and that is more exciting to me than what is on the scale.

I went through induction and 3 months of owl without a peak at scales, I knew I was losing weight because every few weeks I'd need a new pair of khakis. Finally brokedown Saturday and purchased some scales, after 4 months, I've lost 45 lbs!

Every morning. I also keep a log of what I eat so I can see how it correlates to my loss. Some things do trigger a gain with me, so at least I can keep track of those items. It also keeps me on the right path. The way that I ended up gaining so much of my weight back was that I avoided the scale. It is a great wake up call for me.

I know that a lot of people can't handle the daily weigh ins. I don't get discouraged if the scale goes up 1/2 a pound or so. I know that it is water, but for some, that can cause trouble. It all depends on how sensitive you are to the numbers.

I am a slave to the scale. I weigh every morning and sometimes right before bedtime. I used to track my weight loss in the weight tracker module on my.yahoo and in a spreadsheet.

My doc told me to maintain this weight for awhile B4 losing 10 or so more pounds. So when I decide to go back on induction for 2 weeks, I'll start tracking closely again.

I weighed myself every morning for months. Couldn't stand the physical (and emotional) flucuations everyday, so now I only weigh once a week. Sure saves me a lot of frustration and moodiness!

I have the urge to weigh in every day but try to stick to twice a week. There are so many factors that can influence your weight on a daily basis - too much sodium, dehydration, tom, etc. I just want to keep a check on my weekly weight to make sure i am going down or staying the same.

I weigh myself every morning. I usually sneak a peak throughout the day too. I know I am addicted. I only go by the first number in the morning though, because it does tend to go up throughout the day.

Once every 2 weeks. I feel so MUCH more free now that I'm not scale obsessed.

I weigh in every morning like clockwork and I try not to do it again for the rest of the day. The normal fluctuations throughout the day were driving me crazy and causing me to obsess so after my morning weigh in, I push the scale back where I can't see it and try to ignore it until the next morning.

Every morning....but I try to keep in mind that if it goes up over night it is most likely not a FAT gain. Unless of course I really pigged out . I weigh every day to help determine how I'll eat for the day - and if I need to up my water in take.
