Default Meat fast?

Have any of you tried a meat fast to break a stall? If so, what were the results? Please share.

I did.

I felt sick after 2 days.

Keep in mind I just ate meat, chicken and fish... no eggs, no cheese, no veggies.

It really made me wonder what people who dont eat veggies eat. I thought I was going to go insane.

No weight change, but I only lasted 2 days.

I know someone who did it for a week, lost 2 lbs and then gained them right back when she started adding veggies.

Its really hard.

doesn't sound like it is worth it for 2 lbs and then to gain it back? I just bought a book that says you can lose several lbs doing it and keep it off but I guess just like everything else, it depends on the way your own body reacts to it. I just get frustrated when I am not losing weight. I am losing inches but not weight

I think the general concensus (sp?) is that most of the quick weight lost from the meat/fat fasts is gained back as soon as you reintroduce foods.

That sucks so bad! Oh well, I guess I have to be patient but I don't want to! I am so afraid I am going to be stuck here forever and be doing all of this work for nothing.

Consider this...

Would you be happy to be a size 8-10 and weigh 175 lbs? It can happen! Scale weight is just a number and I'd take inches above pounds any day. Shrinkage is a real measure of success!

Check out Mel's post, then her gallery photos

Thanks, I will now. I wouldn't mind being 175 and wearing that size, at all!
