Question Better graphics than smilies??

Hi. I am fairly new to board. I am a contributing member. I would like to know if there are better graphics than these smilies? Seems that there ought to be.

I say this as a member, not as a mod. Personally, I find it annoying to try to read information that's cluttered with graphics. The smilies are great for letting people know the context of your words, but any more elaborate images belong in sigs, the gallery or on peoples' personal websites.

All a matter of taste - personally, I get irritated by graphics heavy sigs. One blinkie is enough! On the other hand, if I can link graphics to my journal pages it makes it more like a mini-home page.

...or did you just mean a better selection of smilies? I've seen larger sets. I think the ones we have now are the ones that come with the current vB software. If you find a set you like, maybe the webmaster would be interested in adding some.

Talking To each his own...

Too much of any good thing is too much! I'm sure we can all attest to that. LOL! I was just wondering about the availability of graphics. Either more smileys or other graphics. I've seen some posts with animated ones. Didn't plan on littering up my postings. Thanks for the positive replies.

hi there,

We currently have 51 smilies in our database, many of them animated

For those of us who use the standard toolbar, there are 10 basic smilies showing in the box to the right of where you type your message. Click on the "More" link right below those smilies to see all that are available.
