Default Lowcarb and IBS

Anyone else have a change in their IBS with low carb?

For the first year I didn't, but once I cut my calories, my IBS completely disappeared. I wonder if it will come back when I go on maintenance?

Smile Change in IBS

As an IBS sufferer of around 2.5 years, I can honestly say I have noticed a real difference in my condition, for the better!

This is primarily because I am wheat intolerant, anc cutting out bread, pasta and the like, as well as the lack of fibre has caused a degree of constipation. The total opposite of what I have had before so hey - I aint complaining!!

The only thing which can start me off are the low carb bars such as Carbo-rite which clearly state a laxative effect may be produced in excessive consumption.

Other than that a big difference.
