Thumbs down Need Inspiration...I failed and lost confidence in myself

*sigh*

Had a terrible weekend, and so what did I do? stocked up on the carbs. I am so sorry, I know that this place is for those of you who are strong enough to do this, and believe me, i am trying, but I don't know why I did this! I was doing so well, and now.....I feel like I can't get started again! I want to do this sooo badly, I am becoming a ghastly size, and everyday I grow more and more. I feel terrible, drained of all energy! I am going to start tomorrow, tomorrow is another day, right?

Thanks,
Andrea

Thumbs up Hi Andrea

There will be times when you eat a high-carb meal or eat beyond fullness, or when your schedule gets so busy that you miss a work- out and so on and so on..... This happens. It's normal and we all do it. (well most of us). But it's very important that you don't get down on yourself and abandon your new healthy lifestyle when this happens. Your right, tomorrow is another day, and give yourself a pat on the back that you admitted it. Alot of people and I am guilty for it too, can't admit they have gave in.

You go girl and good luck and enjoy all the wonderful benefits of a healthy low carb day tomorrow! We are here for you!

Smile Hi!

Hi there Andrea!

Try not to be so hard on yourself- I've found that there are plenty of people around who will do that for you! Not on this site, though!

Also- so you haven't lost anything, but you haven't gained anything either, have you? And you don't have much to lose, really, so a little bit at a time is more likely anyway. How long have you been low carbing? I was a complete carb addict & felt very rough for the first week of my induction at least. I wasn't drinking enough water, though, so perhaps that would help you? And are you taking vitamins? Have a look at the recipe pages for some ideas of what you could eat for some variety, or maybe you could start a journal? This all seems so complicated, I'm amazed sometimes that I can stick to it- but I reckon if I can then anyone can!

It does get better, honestly, and quite quickly too. Be good to yourself.

Daisy

HI Andrea,

Ditto to all said and if you want it that badley you'll do it.

It's hard to start but it does get easier, and there are the nicest people on this site, if you need help or info then just let us know and someone will get back to you.

We're all human and we all have weaknesses, glad to hear your starting again.

Bez

Yes, Scarlet, tomorrow is another day

The best way to learn to do something is to make mistakes.

Default Hi Andrea

U have no reason to apologize to us!!! We all make mistakes. The problem is if we let guilt get the better of us then its hard to get back on track. Im glad U are having a better day and I hope U have many many of them!

Thumbs up Just hang in Andrea

We all have weak moments ... just take it as an opportunity to re-commit to this WOL. Sometimes when you falter for a moment, it makes you that much stronger to just go on.

Keep going girl!!!

GO ANDREA GO!!!!

Default Never fear, Andrea

Andrea,

I totally fell off the wagon not too long ago. Check out my journal and you will see what happened. It didn't take very long to get back into cutting down on my carbs. Oddly enough, that little stint of carb eating got me out of my stall.....and I am now proud to say I have hit and going beyond my goal.

You just have to be persistant and it will all work out for you.

Linnea
