Default Carb Solutions ice cream!!!

Hi,

It is my first day off induction and I woke up in the middle of the night and had the pepermint chip ice cream from carb solutions. It is delicious. It doesn't taste like ice cream it tastes more like a york perppermint patty.

I only had a 1/2 cup which is only supposed to have 2 carbs .. Anybody else like this stuff?

Default Carb Solutions

The only carb solutions ice cream I have tried is the chocolate peanut butter. I think it is very good. I am trying to limit myself to having it twice a week.

I don't touch the stuff, (too concerned it may cause a sugar craving), but my husband loves it.

I also love the mint chocolate chip! It is hard to stay to the 1/2 C. serving but I am trying to limit myself to a couple of times a week.

I LOVE the chocolate peanut butter and butter pecan. Haven't tried the mint yet, i'm afraid to since I can never make up my mind which flavor to have I always have a scoop of each then i'll end up with 3 scoops!

If I am not mistaken, if you read that little circle on the container, it reads that there are 2g of sugar carbs, and either 3 or 4g net carbs. But it is still very good!!!!!

I have tried it, and love it. I like the butternut kind too. I just bought the chocolate peanutbutter kind last night and it's in the freezer. Haven't tried it yet. I ate a 3 carb fudgesickle last night from Costco. You know, it wasn't really worth the carbs. Can't remember the brand but it came with ice cream bars that were 5 grams, so I gave my DH one of those since he's on maintenance. He didn't like it much either. I'd rather spend those carbs on an 8oz glass of the V8 splash that I just bought and didn't try yet. They're 3 carbs for a glass and I really miss fruit juice. The one thing I always notice about having ice cream is that I usually drop weight after eating it like avocados. It's pretty cool. I'm down to 148 , I have to now go and update my profile. Annie

I never can remember which is which, but I've seen Breyer's LC ice cream in different flavors besides chocolate and vanilla at WalMart. This is fairly new.

I bought the Blue Bunny LC ice cream last time, and that will be the last time, too. With Breyer's I am very satisfied with 1/4-1/2 cup, it's so rich and creamy. The Blue Bunny tastes like water and makes me just want to keep eating it--not satisfying at all.

Love it, have tried every flavor they have at our Walmart, and some local stores have thier brands of low carb ice cream too and so far all the ones we have tried lately, the new ones, are very good. The best are from Brahms , which is an ice cream place we have in town. Awesome chocolate almond, and chocolate chip. Cannot tell they are not real ice cream BUT, we have to watch it as the sugar alcohols cause us some distress, bathroom type, mostly gas, but if we eat too much of it, can be worse. We are trying to limit it to the half cup and we were having it every day, but are not going to anymore. It sure is good stuff though. Has made all the differance for my hubby, his cravings for ice cream used to make him go off his woe, but now, as long as he can have that a few times a week, or the small amount everyday, he is very happy. I am thrilled with the stuff too, makes low carb much nicer !! Stephie
