How do you like the Coralville area? I went to the U so I lived around there for about 6 years. Loved it. Grew up in the Des Moines area. You?

I grew up in Muscatine. I love Coralville so far. We live in an area where there are LOTS of members of our church, so that is nice. The University is an adjustment though. I HATE my classes this semester and I am SO glad finals are next week. I can't wait for the fall so I can get into my major-related classes.

What are you studying? It is nice to get the remedial stuff out of the way and jump in to what you like.
Did I mention I am in Davenport? Not too far from Muscatine.
I always liked Iowa City. A very unique town.

I am very familiar with Davenport. I have been there several times in the past few weeks. My parents live there now.

I went to Palmer College last year for one trimester. I figured out that chiropractic wasn't for me so now here I am. Starting in the fall I'll be studying Biology. I am heavily leaning towards dental school. We'll see though, I may change my mind again!

I thought the U's dental program folded?
I got a BA in sociology at Iowa. Worked in substance abuse, social work, with the mentally ill, etc. I work at the community college here, now.

What will you do with your biology degree?

The dental school is very strong here. It is one of the top three dental programs in the country. From what I understand they used to have an undergrad program in dental hygiene, but that is no longer.

You work at Scott Community College? I took a few classes there.

With my biology degree, I hope to get into dental school! I'm going for a BS in Biology with an emphasis in Neuroscience.

I must have slept through the storms. I didn't hear anything.

Hi, another Iowan here. I grew up in NW Iowa, but live just west of the Des Moines area now. I just started LC'ing this week so we shall see how it goes. There's so much information here I could spend the whole day just looking through everything.
