Default very thirsty

Even though I've already had over 70-80 ozs of water today. I continue to be thirsty. I did have 6 thin slices of bacon last night. But I drank like 50 oz of water after that to counteract the salt. Is this normal? Does this have anything to do with blood sugar? I just tested myself and it is 76 which I think is normal. Any advice?

I think it has everything to do with the bacon. It does the same thing to me. All that sodium in my system makes me feel dehydrated.

Salty things dehydrate me as well....I had 1/2 bag (serving) of pork rinds yesterday (only because I was starving), anyway....I have been thirsty since then!!!!!
Even though you had the water to couteract, the sodium can still have an effect.

You were smart to check your blood sugar levels. Thirst is one of many signs of diabetes (but you can just be thirsty, too), so keep an eye on that!

Oh man the same thing happened to me yesterday. I had not eaten bacon in a couple of weeks and had some yesterday and was so thirsty all day long.

I use to eat bacon alot so never noticed it but I've cut back so now I know why the thirst came about.

Good to know!

Ketosis made me thirsty too for a few weeks, then it went away.

I did not eat a lot of salty things yesterday because I was so thirsty. I am STILL thirsty today....weird. I will continue to down the water. I am hoping that the scale will show a big whoosh!
