Default A whoosh! A whoosh! I had a whoosh!

Just wanted to celebrate with you guys -- the stall is broken! Down three pounds, overnight!

Lessons learned that might be applicable to other new low-carbers:

YES, the post-induction stall is perfectly normal, and YES, if you keep following the program faithfully, the stall will break.

YES, if the ketostix are changing color, it probably means something's happening, even if it's not showing up on the scale.

And most surprising to me:

YES, it's possible for an active mid-thirties woman to eat as much as 3,000 calories a day of healthy, whole, low-carb food and STILL LOSE WEIGHT. I didn't eat that much every day, but I was averaging about 1,800-2,000.

Which tells me that, YES, if you're hungry, eat. Your body isn't kidding you if it tells you that it really needs that food. Just stick to natural, low-carb stuff. That, anyway, is the lesson I'm taking away from this.

Only six pounds to goal!

I'm so sold on low-carb!

WooHoo! Way to go! (And yes, all of your points are true and valid! LOL How else could an over-40s woman lose more weight on 2000 calories a day (my way too long stall aside, LOL) than she did on 1200 in her early 30s? )

and i would just drop ten pounds like it was never there.
oh well atkins wol is great im at 175 now and have the most muscle mass i have ever had in my life im not just burning fat but also adding muscle.... congrads on your loss you got it going the right way!
