I believe it is both 0 carb and made(at least partially) with splenda. I remember reading a LONG time ago that pepsi was trying some new things with the diet slurpiees they have at places lik 7-11

Oooh! If I'm ever in the neighborhood of a 7-11 I might have to try that. It would be a great summer-time treat!

Yeah I confess that I love those things. O carbs and when it is hot in Florida they are MARVELOUS! Happy slurping.

Are you sure it has only Splenda? If I recall correctly, someone told me it has quite a bit of sugar alcohol in it. I love the darn thing but had to quit consuming them. They um.. have a laxative effect just like anything with sugar alcohol

The sweeteners in Diet Pepsi Slurpees are a Tagatose, Erythritol, Sucralose mix. From what I have read the Tagatose, Erythritol blend acts as an antifreeze, giving it the "slurpee" consistancy. Sucralose alone resulted in a completely frozen mess that gummed up the machine.

Those things sent me running for the bathroom. Only tried the diet pepsi one ONCE. So of course I can't say for FACT that it's what caused it BUT, Im not about to try it again, lol.

That could very well have been caused by the Erythritol. Most sugar alcohols have that effect on me.
