They are so stupid! Everyone is marketing lo carb meals and they haven't reasearched it! Most places, take Chili's for example they have a cheeseburger bunless meal that they serve with steamed veggies and there are carrots in these veggies! They don't have a clue that low carb means no to low sugar too! They are trying to keep up with the hype of the low carb craze!

Also, I went to Ruby Tuesday's website and under nutrition info on the low carb cheesecake they only give the calories, fat and carbs! They don't list ingredients or sugars. I have had the cheescake there and it's terrific, I can guarentee it's loaded with sugar or sugar alcohols.

I ordered one of Burger Kings new low carb bunless burgers that come in a bowl. The kid taking the order asked if I wanted this in the meal. I asked what was in the "meal" thinking that maybe it would be steamed veg or something.........Nope, Fries and a soft drink make the meal! LOL

How many times do people wonder why you are eating cheese or red meat on a diet? My Mom asked me today why I was eating cheese and I've been LC for almost a year. People sometimes just don't get it. It's hard to break the low fat ideas people have about dieting.
At least the waiter asked before putting syrup on the cheesecake though. And I do realize the issue here was about sugar, not fat, but that is where most of the "ignorant" questions I get come from.

LOL, when the LC thick burger was first introduced at Hardees. I ordered through the drive up window. And yeah, the cashier asked if I wanted fries with my LC burger and diet coke. Why don't they do like Wendy's and just bundle it with a side salad so they don't have to look stupid and insensitive. It's simple, they call it a combo meal!

OH NO, it is a conspiracy to poison us LC'ers. What if all the food pushed in resturants claiming "Atkins approved" is really not! Then my stalls are really not my fault! Quiznos for example, I'm really suspicious of their flat bread. I can not find lc flat bread in the supermarket.

I agree. I went to the drive thur at Burger King and got the LC Whopper and the lady ask me if I wanted fries or onion rings with that. I laughed b/c that's defeating the purpose if the have a LC combo and the sides are fries or onion rings!

We have a sandwich chain called Baggins here in Tucson and with your low carb menu item you get a chocolate chip cookie! I usually just take it back to the office for someone else.
