Question Atkins products and carb content

I am not understanding why on the package of atkins products it shows say 10 grams of carbs but it has the stamp that atkins dieters only count 2 grams how do they come up with that number?

The number showing on the package is the "net carb" - this comes from deducting the fibre and sugar alcohols from the main carb count. It is very confusing, and hard to figure out.

It's my personal opinion that deducting fiber that is inherent to the food from the total carb count is the only true and safe net carb count. The whole SA thing is confusing at best and is for now, pretty iffy as to what/whom to believe. Better safe than sorry.
