Wink Atkins gone Hollywood?

I just wanted to post quickly, that I just went to a local movie theater (I am in southern california) and there at the consession stand they were selling the Atkins product pb cups and wafers...along with the peanut cluster bars. So, next time you are out at a movie check to see if yours as well is selling these products.

I bet it was insanely expensive, too. If you would pay $4 for a box of regular gummies, imagine how much you would spend for Atkins candy that normally costs $2 per package! BYOC (bring your own candy).

Maybe so, but at least if you forget to bring your own, you have options other than cheating! I am even starting to see Atkins stuff at the convenience stores!
I bet the prices will start coming down now that more people are buying the stuff.

That's what I'm praying will happen. But when I started lowcarbing, there were not this many food options. You basically had to prepare your own meals. When I went to Hardees' for the first time to buy a hamburger w/ no bun, the cashier was confused and asked me "Why, that's stupid." Maybe us LC'ers can change the world.

The movie theater we go to sells the Russell Stover sf candies; in fact, that was the first place I ever saw them! I do feel sorry for people who think they should eat the whole thing, though!

Certain ones give me trouble....the Hershey's Sugar Free line does. But the 1 Carb doesn't. Reeses Sugar Free Cups give me horrendous gas. Russell Stover SF and low carb don't though. I think that the companies use the nasty, old school fake sweeteners for the plain sugar free stuff.

The Hersheys sugar free use the lactose derived sugar alcoho, lacitol (sp). The Hersheys 1 carb uses a new sugar alcohol that has less gastric distress and some malitol. The Russell is again lacitil while the Stovers are malitol. It just depends on the sugar alcohol used how strongly you react.

Just remember malitol is 50% absorbed, so there are still calories and carbs coming in they don't claim on the package.
