Default Finally.........

I finally went to subway to try one of the lowcarb wraps. My friend and I ordered one each, different kinds, and split them. They were absolutely delicious even though it wasn't very filling to me. Well, let me tell you, about two hours after eating them both my friend and I were having SEVERE cravings and hunger! Anyone else experience this too? I'm thinking it was too high in carbs in one meal for me and my body freaked!

Over the past three months I've had the Subway wraps 4-5 times. They don't seem to affect weight loss one way or the other (nothing much seems to affect my weight, tho). I didn't have any cravings, but I usually don't. It's interesting that you did.

I think the wraps were a waste of money since it was sooo small. So I gave the Atkins friendly salads a try and wow. It was quite large and very filling.

I didn't have problems with cravings, but the wraps are too small to fill me up by themselves. Some Subways have started carrying the Low-Carb Doritos, though, so if I those with a wrap I might be full. BlitzedAng is right about the salads, though...they are fantastic!

I've never had the salads. I'll be out and about today running errands, maybe I'll try one...

I was much more impressed with the salads than I was the wraps. Along with being small, I just didn't think the wraps tasted good.

The salads must have meat? What kind of dressing? How many carbs?

You can order any of the subs as wraps.

I like to do a Double Meat Southwest Chipotle Steak & Cheese wrap. Works out to about 11 carbs, with the sauce and cheese.

The BMT is also excellent, and fairly high in fat.
Remember, the fat is your friend. It will keep you from being hungry.

Hard not to be filled after that.

I LOVE subway!!!!

I usually get the chicken bacon ranch thing, but I change it up a bit. I leave off the olives and ranch and add extra chicken, pepperoni, bell pepper and mustard instead. It lowers the carbs from 8 to 6 approximately. Plus, adding more meat thickens up the wrap to where I am more full when I finish.

Haha, I'm a little gal and I remember back in January (before I started strict 20 grams of carbs Atkins) I went by Subway for a wrap. I was SOOO hungry and saw them making up one of the wraps. I was like, there is no way thats going to fill me up. I ended up buying TWO of them (yes, quite expensive) and eating BOTH of them. haha. Needless to say it filled me up. (the funny thing was, I remember being full, not stuffed-and this is after 2 of them!) Yet of course I ate more carbs in that one meal than I eat in an entire day now. If I only knew then what I was doing. I was the typical un-knowledgable, havent read the book person.

I bet it wasn't cravings but just plain old hunger! Those wraps are so tiny! I've only had them once but ended up going out to buy slim jims as a snack that afternoon cause I was starving!

Try the baby spinach salad next time! It is AWESOME! The subway i go to feels the bowl with spinach. It is very filling and I love the honey mustard dressing! Thats what I'm having for lunch today
