Smile Back from grocery shopping --- HolyCow

I certainly felt sinister, lurking among the food aisles looking for protein/fat carb free --- great things to fix for dinner etc.

I am making CordonBleu for dinner with a spinach salad! My partner John and I are both doing low carb, which is a great!!!!

There is still a little voice in the back of my mind ---- 'can this really work?" I do feel much better.... and I have a certain piece of mind that comes with having made the decision of chaning my eating program. I think I will hit the success stories and check out a few --- to reaffirm.

Thanks again to everyone..

Ramona

Ramona - that's part of the *high* that goes along with this WOE.

When I first bought the book (DANDR), I nearly had kittens laughing over the snack recipe "DEEP FRIED BACON WRAPPED CHEESE".

I though "OMG, this must be a rude joke".

Yeah well, I laughed myself to my goal weight and so will you!

Default Will this work?

It can and it will!!!! I read somewhere that you can do all of your shopping on the outside ring of the supermarket and avoid all the inner aisles. At my store it's true. Right side as you come in you get your salad things, the back wall has the meat and the eggs, the left wall has the dairy. Of course if your buying more then food you'll have to brave some of the aisles, dish soap, toilet paper...etc. And don't forget your family might want a loaf of bread or something.

Default It Does Work!

Here I am at 19 weeks, and I've lost 36 pounds. 186 to 150 and still going strong. That magic number of 135 is looking good!!

I love this eating plan. From the get-go, I've experienced boundless energy, balanced moods, and even some appetite suppresant.

I am a lifer - I will never go back to the old ways.

Keep it up!!

PS: That closet filled with "clothes I can't fit any longer" is almost empty. And it feels awesome!!!

Yep! All the woes caused by shoppin g in the middle of the grocery store are known as Syndrome-X. There is an overview of the book and concept here...

OMG - You are right!!! I just realized this.... When I shop now.. i dont even bother with those middle aisles... WIERD!!!

I used to spend a lifetime in those aisles.. hahaah

I go in and on the left I get my sliced chicken breast and spinach dip from Deli for my veggie wraps ( no bread ) grab some mozzeralla <--never could spell it... and then onto the EGGS and HOMO milk and more cheese.. weeeeeeeee. Then I grab my chicken breasts, bacon, and bags of salad and salad dressings and some cucumbers, spinach and tomatoes and head home!

Shopping is sooooo easy now.

xoxo

It feels so good to be eating fresh food, and there is so muchless packaging to throw out! And I have noticed that at the end of the week I don't have to do a clear out of all the mouldy out of date wasted food like I used to, now everything is eaten! xxx Doods
