Default Restaurant Caesar salad dressing

Dh and I are going out for dinner for our anniversary tonight and I've been trying to think of what would be a safe thing to eat. The best thing I've come up with is grilled chicken caesar salad...I know most restaurants have it. I use Cardini's Caesar dressing here at home (1 carb). Is restaurant dressing comparable or do I need to worry about sugar?

I wouldnt worry too much, but if you are I suppose maybe you can ask them.

I know that I have seen some packets with 5g carbs in it (I think McDonalds) but places like panera have less than 1g carb.

Either way it isnt going to be a super high amount of carbs, so I wouldnt obsess over it, if it tastes unusually sweet you might ask them, or some places make their own dressings.

I say go out and enjoy your evening and just count about 2 or 3 carbs for the dressing to be safe.

It should be okay, but I usually substitute oil and vinegar if the house dressing is of dubious carb count.

I always stick a small tupperware container of my no-carb dressing in my purse before we go out to eat. That way I'm sure of the dressing I'm getting. If you have big pockets in your coat you can always put the whole bottle in!

I never worry about Caesar or blue cheese dressings in restaurants, but I do ask for it on the side. Part of the problem with the carb count is the amount of dressing they toss into your salad, it could be up to 6 Tbs or more.

It depends on the place. Wendy's and BK have low carb cesear, but McDonalds cesear is 4g for 2 tbsp. I have no clue on regular resteraunts.

I always order a cesear though, just because it seems the best option besides ranch, and that can vary wildly from place to place too.

When I did LF I took a bottle of dressing with me places. You can always try that
