Question No carbs?

I was shopping for low carb items to have on my salads and found hearts of palm. Label says 1 carb and 2 fiber per 1/3 cup. I checked for hidden carbs and there are none. So am I safe saying this is 0 carbs if I stick to 1/3 cup?
Thanks

I would say no. It looks as though the fiber has already been subtracted leaving you with 1 carb. Our Carb Counter says 1 cup of Heart of Palms has 6.75 g of carbs and 3.50 g of fiber giving you an ECC of 3.25.

When in doubt check our carb counter, it is very up to date

Thanks a lot, thought it was too good to be true, lol. But it is still only 1 per 1/3 cup so that's great, I love them!

Default me. too!

I only just tried some for the first time last summer and love them, too. I put some in a pasta salad with a bunch of other veggies a couple months ago, and they were an interesting addition to my recipe. I was thinking of making it again - without the pasta, of course! It's just a 1/2 cup or so each of chopped veggies: brocolli, radishes, cucumber, celery, hearts of palm, olives, mushrooms, whatever you like - tossed with Italian dressing. I usually put little chunks of salami and/or mozzarella cheese in too. Then I usually toss the whole mess with pasta - but I'll just leave the pasta part out and eat the veggies with dressing!!

Thanks for reminding me about h.o.p.
