You haven't gained 4 lbs, Crystal You've retained 4 lbs of water, its quite common and it happens to all of us. Weight can fluctuate DAILY up to 9 lbs! Thats just every day. Keep drinking lots of water and the 4lbs will eventually leave just as they came, overnight.

Smile My gain

I gain usually between 5-8lbs though I found if I drink an additional liter of water during this time I gain less water.
Any other experiences? Oh are you more or less moody during your TOM. I seem more...

I remember a post where one of the guys was laughing at all of us about our weight gains. He reminded us that a gallon of water weighs 8lbs. I try to think about that whenever I'm disappointed that it said 1 lb less yesterday on the scale.

Try it sometime when you have to pee really badly... weigh yourself before and after... it can give you some perspective when you lose 2lbs in 1 minute... er I did... I had to pee REALLY badly!

I was trying to find out which scale was correct, I'd just got back from a store that had a digital scale and I had to be sure my clothes and water were exactly the same. Ah.. ain't science grand.

Default Oh that TOM!

I tend to gain anywhere from 2-3 lbs with TOM and also when I am ovulating.

I do seem a bit more "blue" just before TOM and irritable too.

And then when "he" arrives I feel extemely fatigued, bloated and sore (as if I have one big bruise all over my body).

Fun, eh?

To Meeker: The way I have checked accuracy of scales is to weigh myself with all my clothes on on my scale and then go directly to the Drs. office and weigh myself on the scale that has the actual weights on it. My scale is within about half a pound accurate.

I bought a digital scale (that shows half pounds) with a lithium battery and it was in the mid-range for price.

It's an acronym .. stands for Time Of the Month. Just like lol stands for laugh out loud.
