Cool Rewarding yourself

I just had to share this with you
I made two big steps last week:
I stopped weighing myself twice a day
(I now weigh myself once a week)
I also stopped doing my ketosis sticks
(That was very hard!)
A week later, I can now say I can sleep at night!
To reward myself I bought these cute backpack charms that you can find in drugstores. One says I love Me and the other is a gold star. I put them on my bag that I bring to work. I'm actually thinking of putting the star on my dress for work today.
I think its very important than when you make a commitment to yourself you should reward yourself. Not so much with expensive things (Mine cost $2 each) or even with objects. Reward yourself with a manicure, or a good movie with a friend. It really reenforces the commitment you gave yourself.
Just my two cents

Cool

Good for you!

I need to find something inexpensive, also, to reward myself. Unfortunately, it seems all of the things I want cost too much. Is it possible to reward yourself each time you go to the grocery store & ignore the candy? Especially at Halloween!

Talking Clothes!!!

i buy clothes!!

YAY! it's so nice to buy clothes because you shrunk out of them, not because you grew out of them.

When i'm low on cash i buy lipstick or body sprays or CD's.

sometimes i reward myself with icecream, but i'm not supposed to do that right?? nobody's perfect!

I love my Starbucks Breve lattes!!!! They use half and half cream, and I have to limit myself to one or two a week. On those days, I keep my carbs lower!!! Have to have my Starbucks!!!!

I'm so used to rewarding myself with food it's hard to find something else that is equally as gratifying (cheap and quick). I have to agree with the clothes. What a reward to put on an old pair of jeans and go somewhere. It makes me feel like a million bucks!!

Lessara - you are way cool.

I went for the longest time, rewarding myself with legal foods. During induction I ate 2 lobsters (usually only see those on my plate once every 5 years).

After that I stopped rewarding myself. I put off buying clothes for a long time. I really wanted to hit goal before I invested. What a tight-wad I am.

I stalled for about 5 months and decided "Well, that's it - I'm at goal" and went out and bought jeans. The day after that I started wooshing. Next plateau - did the same thing - bought new jeans. Whoosh.
Now I'm on my third pair of jeans - you guessed it. WHOOSH.

They are a bit loose, but who cares.

The secret to breaking a stall??? BUY TIGHT JEANS!!
