I think I may be in trouble...lol. I looovvvveeedddd Doritos before I started this woe. I used to go through at least a bag a week, sometimes more. But I have decreased my appetite so maybe I will be able to treat myselft with these new LC Doritos, once in a while...but not eat the whole bag of course...lol. Hopefully they will taste good, I'm finding that the LC chips are not that tastey, so I guess if they suck then I won't have to worry about eating the whole bag! I will keep my eye out for them.

I will not allow myself to have those - no no no no no. My biggest problem before converting to Atkins was chips and bread. I will just have to live w/o them - I don't them anyway - right?

More tempting junk food to stall myself on! Pre-LC I copuld eat a half a bag of that crunchy, corny, golden yummyness. I am in big trouble. I really need to convince myself that whole foods are best, but thats hard to do with all these new temptations.

Trader Joes has come out with Crunchy Cheese Puffs...7 g net carbs in a serving. The serving size is only 13 puffs. They kind of taste like the Cheetos knock-offs that are usually a buck a bag.

I am SO with you guys on the cheetos front! I could go through a bag of puffed cheetos without batting an eye! I'm so much more of a salty/crunchy person than a sweet person, and it has been pretty good for me that the only "legal" thing that fits that bill are the pork skins. If they start coming out with truly low carb chips, I'm dead!

Regular corn chips generally work out to about 1 carb per chip.

I see them at Super Walmart in the oddest place. They are on the bottom shelf at the deli not on the chip[ isle. My children love them. I tried the Tostitos edge and made nachos.I should have waited till maintanance but had to give them a shot, hehe. They were yummy.

See now, Doritos, along with warm baked french bread, are something I would rather treat myself to the REAL thing every so often, instead of settling for an LC tastes-sorta-but-not-really like imitation.

Being one who is on maintance, I don't mind seeing all those low carb products coming out. So what if they stall me, I am suppost to be stalled. SO now I can indulge in the extra once in while, and feel OK about it. Guess this is one reward to reaching my goal. And if weight should start to creap up on me, I know what to drop easy enough. But for those still on the losing side, I would stay way for such products untill you are happy where you are.

According to the nutrition facts from Frito-Lay, the count varies somewhat by variety. I looked at several "regular" Dorito varieties and the carb count was between 16g - 19g/1 oz. serv. (approx. 12 chips). Less 1g of fiber per serving.
