Don't know the carb count, but these are the ingredients:

Propylene glycol, water, smoke flavouring.

Here is some data on propylene glycol.

Lightbulb liquid smoke

I have a bottle each of Natural Mesquite Liquid Smoke and Natural Hickory Liquid Smoke, Woodland brand. Yes, they are different. The hickory is deeper flavoured I think, and I use it with beef or other red meats. The mesquite is "lighter" and goes well with chicken or fish. I use it with canned salmon even to make it taste like smoked salmon.

The ingredients say: natural liquid smoke.

I can't find the specific brand on a website, but other brands that are labelled "natural wood smoke" describe a distilling process that uses only the smoked wood chips and water.

Since only a small amount is needed, I tend to count it as zero. Obviously, if there are other ingredients, you need to consider that.

HTH,

Doreen

Thanks!! My bottle the ing. are liquid smoke.

I made some jerky and it just tastes awsome! The spices come to 3 grams per lb of ground beef. There is 1 1/2 tsp of liquid smoke per lb.

I have given it a count of one just to be on the safe side.

I guess the true test will be if it stalls him.
