Wink Fun Question

Low Carbers tend to have food restrictions that can be a tad tighter (variety wise) than high-carbers (again take this with the consideration that various types of high protein diets have more or less variance).

So let me ask you. . .if you were stranded in an underground shelter, desert island, etc.,and you only had five foods that you would have to eat forever (keeping with the low carb theme), what would they be????

Me

Bacon
Tillamook Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Eggs
Oh Boy Oberto Beef Jerky
Pace Picante Salsa

My five foods...

1. Eggs

2. Steak

3. My salad with Romaine and dressing and stuff

4. Hamburger

Of course we can have more that 5 in real life, and I'm glad of it. There would be a lot of things I would miss!

Default Reply to Requests for water. . .

In my most aristocratic voice

It has been ordained that we shall allow you to have water without sacrificing one of your five foods, but let it be known that thou shouldst thank us whom have allowed this.

My husband and I have a similar discussion when we pose the question "If you could only have ONE meat category for the rest of your life what would it be?"

This game has more flexibility

1) spinach salad

2) t-bone steaks

3) pork rinds

4) turnip

5) chicken thighs

Naturally I would have to have butter as well, but one can hardly call that a food unto it's own

And I'm with Mike, water is not a food.

I would probably keep plenty of pork rinds and beef jerky on hand as you don 't have to worry about them going bad and don't have to worry about keeping the from going bad...

5. good olive oil

I was so tempted to add coffee to the list, but I restrained myself.

beef with a nice layer of fat
pork
eggs
spinach
pumpkin (it's sweet)

Hey Doreen,

Are you going to pluck those chickens?

I think you're trying to sneak eggs in there for free...

>>> Are you going to pluck those chickens?

Hopefully, they would be pre-plucked and entrails removed. I guess I'm so used to shopping and buying chicken parts ... so I figured if they were whole, I could have my choice of breast or leg meat ... and it would only count as one choice
