Default There's a new sheriff in town!

Well, this ole CKD forum has been sllooooooowwwwwwww lately! Thought I'd pop in here just to liven things up just a bit. I've been back on CKD for cutting or fatloss for a few weeks, but have decided today that I've had it with this mid-section bodyfat (spare tire) and I'm gonna stick to this with a vengence till it is GONE! No more Mr.Nice Guy or changing my mind. I am even willing to sacrifice some of my hard earned lean body mass it that's what it takes to get it done quicker. I am going to do more cardio than I know I should 'cause I've got tunnel vision on this one! Spare tire you're on notice, you are history!!!

I will definitely keep up my weight workouts and hopefully NOT lose any lean mass, but everything I've read says that if you do a great deal of cardio and lose fat quick, you're gonna lose some muscle also. If anyone has any tips, I've got open ears. But, I've read almost everything there is and know this should be done fairly slowly, but just can't wait! AT least with CKD I'm still gonna minimize the muscle loss. Well, I'm just ramblin' now so I'll stop with this one last repeat:

Spare tire you're on your way outa' here for good!

Get pumped Chip!

When I get deep into my cutting, I get up to 2 hours of cardio per day ... 1 hour AM, and 1 hour PM ....

How is your supplement budget? If you are serious about minimizing muscle loss, you need to take this product ... Nitromine by Advanced Genetics.

Best price I could find on it was here:

Nitromine

(sorry tamarian, Netrition doesn't carry it or else I would link to it there through the board)

It's pricey ... but it will help you a great deal. If you decide to buy it, let me know and I will post the dosage instructions here.

You go Chipperoo!

Good luck to ya. I need to do the same thing. These spare tires have got to go. I've been checking out the UD 2.0, but I'm not down to a low enough bodyfat% to start it yet. So I think I'll do one more Body for Life Chalenge to get down to 15% BF and then switch to UD 2.0.

I just checked out your gallery pics and it looks like you are doing awesome. How long have you been doing CKD?

Arnie

Hey Arnie, Well I've been on CKD for uh, I don't know, I guess about since a little before Thankgiving last year. But, I wasn't always doing it to my best and wasn't on it the whole time. I got tired of dieting and thought I'd bulk for awhile to gain muscle and maybe "reset" my metabolism. I ate isocaloric for a short time ( a week or two) and found out real quick that carbs still just make me want to eat more and more! So, then tried bulking on CKD, but still put on to much fat real quick and muscle real slow. I didn't research well enough, really. Anyway, I have did really well on CKD to lose weight when I tried hard and followed it well. So, have decided to really concentrate on cutting until at least to 12-13 % bodyfat, maybe lower, before I even entertain thoughts of bulking again.

Dan, wish I could afford that stuff, though that's the first I've heard of it. Must be kinda' new, huh? I'm "married with children" and unfortunately outa' work at the present. I'm definitely "natural" whether I want to be or not, hehe. Tough to just get the supps that I think I really need right now, though I do thank you for the heads up!

And thanks both of you for the support right now, this is gonna' be an all out effort to combat my hunger (which is the hardest part for me).

Dan, I think you're still cutting for some show right now? Hope you're doing great man!!

I am still not ready to try the CKD. I have been losing really well in the last two weeks 8.6 pounds. I am still at 35 % BF. I have been watching your progress and you are 13 pounds lighter that me.
I'll be on your tail so don't slow down

Good luck and hang in there

yes Chip I am preparing for a show. I am still far away from the date, but I am getting ready. Starting to cut, but nothing crazy is happening yet.

The show is at the end of the summer. 12 weeks out I will get silly ... until then, I am getting myself to around 8% - 10% and increase muscularity until late May.

ugh, there's a bunch of things ... not looking forward to it.

Actually, I have enlisted a specialist to take me through the last 12 weeks since I have never done it before.

I have a good idea, but I am smart enough to know that a professional will catch things I might not.

The diet stays about the same ... just manipulations based on how the muscles look. Flat, retaining water, etc.

I have an article on it that gives basic guidelines. If you are interested I will post it ...

Here's an updated pic in my journey to find my lost 6 pack, hehe (really never ever had one before)! It was taken today (3-12-04) at mid-day after starting carb-up directly following 5am workout. I am "relaxed" in the first pic. On previous pics I either pulled my pants up enough to cover lower gut, where most of my bodyfat is left, or "sucked" in my gut. From now on I will always post a "relaxed" pic so I can see what progress I am making better and more honestly. I really need to get my bodyfat measured to know for sure progress is being made 'cause I have a hard time judging looking at myself.

As far as seeing the difference, I just threw these 2 pics together and now I can see for sure that it is working, even though I've found that it can be a up and down kinda' thing. Some weeks I make progress, some I either stay the same or even go backwards. Oh well, staying with the program and to keep trying my best is all I can do and it should work out in the long run (if I can).

Dan, thanks man, other's positive comments keep me going and give me much incentive! I'm cheering for you in your competition, it's your first, isn't it? Are you still in Cali.? I went there about ten years ago for my honeymoon, although I didn't see anyone famous at muscle beach, it was a kick just seeing where so many photo shoots from the muscle mags I had seen were taken.

Hey chip ...

Yes, it is my first comp. I am still pretty far out from it, but the 12 week mark is creeping up.

I am from NJ, just outside of Philly. I will be visiting Cali ... I only WISH I lived there. I am spending a whole day doing the Venice Beach thing ... and I am most certainly working out at Gold's Gym there ("mecca"). Can't wait!

Hey Chip,

That looks like pretty good progress for such a short time. You're doing great!

Here's the weekly update after week #3. Down to 219.5 and you can't tell from these pictures, but getting a more "vascular" look as the fat melts away to reveal more veins. Also putting in more work on the abs, which is almost...hehe... visisble in pics.
