I just wanted you all to know that it was successful. It's not as good as "real" creamed spinach, but I liked it alot.
I bought pre-made ranch dip because it was cheaper than the sour cream alone that day, but it would be your basic dry ranch dressing mix with sour cream mixed with (in this case) canned spinach till it's the texture you like.

I liked it both hot and cold.
