Hi Kittysf.... I am in my 9th week on Atkins and have lost OK... whilst eating a fair amount of nitrate filled stuff... no problem at all. One of my favorite snacks is what we call here "bier sticks" or "cabanossy sticks, a smallish thin sort of salami/peperoni, only 0.2 carb grams a stick, and I can only usually mange 1/2 at a time ( really good for keeping the fat intake up too ), add a lump of cheese too, very satisfying. Another great snak/lunch/whatever is rotisserie chicken. They sell them (already hot & cooked) at our supermarket... Just chow down on a leg or whichever bit you like best... they are great and last a few days in the fridge, very convenient. (A LOT of chickens have died in my quest to get slimmer!!!)
P.S. watch the nuts, I had to stop with the macadamias....I THINK they made me slow down, so rather than take the risk I thought I would leave them till later.
