Talking First post...finally hit my GW....and other rants...

I just want to tell ya'll how much help that you have been throughout this process. The insight that you have give has allowed me and my wife (lost 70lbs.)to change our lives. We recently went to a party and saw many of our friends for the first time since we have begining this WOE.....People were stunned....I actually had a conversation with a friend that did not realize who I was until five minutes into the conversation....Amazing...

Also my last few pounds came off by staying away from the "sugar free" candy/ snacks. I loved them but they stalled me... Also the best info that I have recieved from this board is the not eating past 5-6PM. Relayed the message to my wife and she has lost 12 lbs in the last 2 weeks.....

Last but not least.....do not believe these bafoons that are discrediting our WOE...notice, that many of our detractors are "nutritionist/dieticians"....put it into perspective... if you spent many years of you life learning and studying one particular subject (in their case Nutrition, or the famous food chart) and all of a sudden, all of this time and energy is proving to be B.S......You would fight it too. Notice that you don't see many unbiased (non-funded) M.D.s spouting the venom that we hear from the so called nutritionists........

Thanks for everything....I will continue to lurk and if I can help anyone please feel free to ask..........

Congrats on hitting your GW

It must have made you feel so good when you and your wife went to your party and people went on about your weight loss! Isn't that the best feeling? It's great that we can feel good about ourselves but it makes it even greater when others notice the difference. It makes all the hard work worth it! I also think it is great that your wife have both done this together. My hubby is also doing this WOE with me...it great support! Way to Go!

Thanks for the upbeat, encouraging post. I urge you to stick around a bit. It can be something of a challenge to keep the weight off. It helps me to check in a read how others are doing.
Congratulations to both of you!
