Default Induction Question

Hello all
Just a quick query on induction -

is it common for people to experience stalls during induction?

I was losing up until day 5, I'm on day 12 now and not a shift since. I wondered if perhaps I'm eating too much fat? From checking with fitday it's between 65 - 75%, protein about 10 - 20% and carbs 5% or less. I haven't strayed until today (One 3.6g carbs bar or sweet'n'low milk chocolate.). I can see that it's thinkgs like this put me off track as I get disheartened. I'm not craving anything like chips, crisps, pies, biscuits, bread etc.

Anyone got any suggestions to break this early rut?

It's not a stall unless it's been 6 weeks so don't worry.

Too much Fat? Not enough fat if you ask me. I eat anywhere between 75-85% Fat everyday. Since I've started eating more fat I've started to lose weight faster. I average 10 pounds a month and I love it. At this rate I'll be at goal by this December.
Be sure to be getting your 20g's of carbs in the form of vege's too. Lots of water of course and yes even exercise.

Step away from the chocolate man.

It can get frustrating but hang in there, it'll move again I asure you.

Good luck and keep up the good work.

Lily

Atkins isn't a crash diet. Weight loss will be slow and steady. Typically peopl elose 10% of the weight they need to in induciton, then 5% of the remaining weight each month after.

You might share your fitday to see if anyone has suggestions. Are you having alot of processed foods, too much dairy, bars or other LC products ect.

Hi
Thanks for your replies
I know this should be steady loss, I learned from my previous attempts. I just wasn't expecting a stop so early on.

OK today I had:
Breakfast: sausage frittata (sliced sausage - 4.8g, onion, eggs, heavy cream and cheddar)
Lunch: roast ham, boursin cheese, a smear of English mustard.
Snacks - 2 mini babybel, 1 Cheesestring, some SF jelly.
Drinks: 2l water, 1 cup black coffee, 2 cans SF dandelion and burdock (less than 0.1g per can.)

I haven't eaten dinner yet.

Any ideas whats going on??

Aha - this is where you might be mistaken. Unfortunately, repeated attempts are rarely as successful as previous attempts. Your body catches on, your metabolism can slow a bit.
