If its not too personal. Has anyone tried a colon cleansing product? Are any especially effective?

It is strange to see this Post here. MY daughter was just talking about getting this done last night in fact she was looking up some information on the web about it. She went to Google and did a search. She wants to go to get it done and is now in the process of looking for a place in our area.

I don't understand what the point of doing this is. Your digestive system works by peristalsis, so when you eat, it causes everything to move down a bit. Your GI track doesn't have anything from last month or 3 years ago. You might lose a lot from water loss, but yikes, its not good for you. You could just take a bunch of laxitives or eat a lot of sf candy and do the same.
