I take them without any problems, but i'd say the green tea in them is what is probably bothering you, I'd switch to a regular one a day vitamin.

I have just started taking that. I have not had heart palpatations, but sometimes it makes me feel nautious. I decided to take it before I went to bed and have been fine since. Maybe there is something in it giving you the problems. Try not taking it for a couple of days and see how it goes?

Thanks Auburn it could be the green tea extract but I drink green tea all the time and I don't have any problems.

Thanks xcarbqueen maybe I will lay off of them for a couple of days. The only thing is they give me so much energy. Maybe I will just try the oneaday for women.

They also contain at least 3 kinds of sugars. They aren't the best multi for low carb dieters.

Question What kind do I take

Ladybelle I don't see any sugars on the label. Can you help me out here? What is a good vitamin that doesn't have any sugar in it?

hi there, I was taking the one a day weight smart and I had to stop. I felt the same way. I would even get hot flashes and get dizzy. It made my heart race and make me feel ill. A friend of mine felt the same way as well.
I am just sticking to one a day for women.

I switched from regular centrum to centrum silver (even though I'm only 22!) because it doesn't have iron in it (which atkins recomends, for some reason). I emailed the company and they said there was less than 1/2 carb per tablet.

From the Atkins website: Iron can accumulate in the body and raise your risk of disease.
I think that the no iron supplements/vitamins that contain iron comes from Dr. Atkins the family practitioner.

Many on the Atkins diet are eating high amounts of iron in thier diet from meats. Too much iron can build up in the system and become toxic. For me, I was only getting around 50-60% RDA of iron each day, so my multis have added iron. Fitday can be good for checking things like that.

The one a day vitamin "other ingredients"
Calcium Carbonate, Cellulose, Magnesium Oxide, Green Tea Extract, Ascorbic Acid, Ferrous Fumarate, Acacia, Dl Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate, Niacinamide, Croscarmellose Sodium, Zinc Oxide, Dextrin, D-Calcium Panthothenate, Dicalcium Phosophate, Caffeine Powder , Silicon Dioxide, Hypromellose, Magnesium Stearate, Titanium Dioxide, Gelatin, Corn Starch, Crospovidone, Glucose, Manganese Sulfate, Calcium Silicate, Cupric Sulfate, Polyethylene Glycol, Pyridoxine, Hydrochloride, Riboflavin, Dextrose, Thiamine Mononitrate, Lecithin, Beta Carotene, Chromium Chloride, Resin, FD&C Blue #1 Lake, Folic Acid, Sodium Selenate, Phytonadione, Tricalcium Phosphate, Cholecalciferol, Cyanocobalamin

There is both gluclose and dextrose listed as ingredients. Those are both sugars. There is also corn starch used as a filler.

There is less than one gram TOTAL of any and all starches/sugars in them. I doubt that qualifies as a major problem.

Talking One-a-day weight smart

Maybe you need to have your Thyroid checked. I have Grave's Disease and part of the symptoms were tachycardia(fast heart) Or--maybe it's the caffeine, don't know how much is in them but maybe the extra is bothering you if you are drinking caffeinated beveraGES. Good luck!!

I used to be taking them and I had no problem at all. I however am not taking them anymore due to the fact it contains the iron. I just had to get something without iron since my stool was getting to hard to pass with the iron containing vitamin. Since I stopped taking them and now use one without the Iron it is all good.
