Default Have you ever heard of this?

I was at my chiropracters the other day and he told me of a diet that you eat your carbs at least three hours before you eat your protein and don't eat them at the same meal. I have been doing this while still in my induction where I don't wait quite three hours and I've had my best week of weight loss yet. Just wondering if any of you ever heard of this.

Sounds like Somersizing to me. Carbs (good carbs!) w/o fat and with veggies at a meal and then wait 3 hours for a protein/fat/veggies meal.

I know some swear by it, but I'm still not convicned. Her idea is that fruits are metabolized differently, so you should never have them with protien. All other eating plans state to have protien with carbs to minimize the impact on blood sugars. She also pushes fructose as a sweetner.

One good thing though is the Summers plan is she pushes whole foods. No processed things. But there are also alot of treats you can buy for the diet which seems to contradict that. Almost all eating plans are the same though. I think protien power is the only one I havn't seen a bar for
