Default Major Snow Storm day off work full fridge

What a day. Can't see out windows so much blowing snow.Everything is at a standstill. The kind of day you want to snuggle up to a good book and eat munchies. So far I have not sucumbed to hi carbs but it would be tempting but I think that I have got to the point where there is nothing in my cupboards that is hi carb except maybe pasta which I would have to cook and that is too much work on a day off.I did make some flaxseed muffin s and put cranberries in them.Very good.Any suggestions for comfort food that is low carb on a day like this and the power may go off any minute.

Do you have any low/no sugar pizza sauce or pasta sauce? How about a pizza with no crust...just the toppings? Lots of cheese! YUM!

Quick -- before the power goes off: make some chicken broth and sip it all afternoon while you read that book. Do you have any herb tea? That might taste good. Melt some cheese over steamed veggies. Good luck.

I just heard on the news that Atlantic Canada is having the storm of the Century! Parts are on evacuation notice.
I hate to rub it in, but here in southern B.C. it is sunny + 15C. We really don't even need a jacket today. I really am sorry for that comment. I do hope you stay warm + that all your love ones are safe.

Make up some soup. Do you have any diet swiss miss? Get the diet, not the no sugar added. It really helps me on some winter nights.

I also love my teas for a nice warm feeling, or in the morning coffee with cream. I have the protien power comfort foods cook book, I need to try more recipes out of. IF the power stays on you might check out online recipes such as on this forum to see what you have the ingreidients for. Nothing warms up the house like an oven going full force and turning out warm goodies I had a huge list of online recipe sites, but it's on the computer that's down darn it. I know I published it on this bored somewhere though
