Default Where can I buy Mama Lupe tortillas?

I'm sure a moderator will be along to move this thread any minute now, but more people read this board so I'm posting it here anyway.

I would really like to try Mama Lupe's low-carb tortillas, but have not been able to find them in any local Super Wal-Marts or health food stores. Has anyone found a website I can order them from?

Default I don't know about Mama Lupe's

But I just found out who maufactures the ones they use at Ruby Tuesdays because they are excellent. Those are made by Rudy's Tortillas. You can go to www.rudy'stortillas.com. They are amazing and only 4/5 grams respectively depending on the size.

A pack of like 18 is like $31.00 but to me it's well worth it.

I just looked at the rudys site. I think it is actually 18pkgs of 24 count tortillas, so it is a case and the 31 I think is weight not the cost. But I can't seem to get in to look at the carb content or ingredients. Did you just call and ask or is it in there somehow.

There should be a phrase at the top to click on that says....low carb flour tortillas. After you click, it takes you right to the product info.

Hilary-
You never said if you were looking for corn or flour tortillas, if it's corn check out this site.
http://www.lowcarbtacoshells.com/shop1.shtml

These taco shells are very good and they have 1 or 2 carbs per shell. They are very thin and crisp and rather small. I would guess they are about 1/2 the size of a regular taco. I think the small size and thinness of the shell is what makes it low carb.

I ordered a case and have been very happy with them. I use them for tacos, I break them up and use them for tortilla chips.

I also put them in a bowl and cover them with water and let them soak for about 20 minutes until they are pliable then dry them off between two kitchen towels and use them to make enchiladas.

Thanks, Donald! I forgot all about netrition. I ordered two packages of tortillas to see if they're any good. I'll post in my journal what I think of them! The Rudy's brand looks good, too.

GNC carries them around here.

They really are very good. I got mine at a health food store, which was a little pricier than most places. 3.59 for 10 tortillas.
