Default Atkins Cruise?

Is anyone planning to go on the Atkins cruise in the Carribean this year? Or, has anyone gone on one in a previous year? I am thinking about going and would like some input.

Nope, didn't even know Atkins had a cruise planned. I'm one of those Vancouverites powered by the lowly Canuck buck. I won't be leaving Lotus Land for a while.

If you do go, please report back to us.

Not that I don't want to help, Atriana, but, like Ruth, I'm in Western Canada. I think a lot of us here are in no position to go on the cruise, even though it sounds fabulous .... sigh .... now if he'd plan one to Alaska ....

According to the info on his site, he has one cruise in October to Greece and one in April to the Carribean. On the site it said that the last couple of them were sold out, so I was hoping someone would have some info on it. I have never taken a cruise before, but I live in Florida and the Carribean cruise leaves from a port about 100 miles from my house. I figured this would be a great way to avoid commercial airliners and stay on my eating plan during my vacation. I have not taken a real vacation in 10 years, so I guess I am overdue. The fare starts at $799 so I figured that at about $115 per day wasn't so bad since it includes your room and meals and entertainment.
Thanks for all your responses, at least now I know I'm just not being ignored!

Atriana

Rachel & I seem to be in agreement on this cruise thingy. I would love to go and it would probably be lots of fun. If I lived 100 miles from the cruise ship terminal I'd be on that ship! *LOL* I actually live about 3 miles from the main Vancouver cruise ship term and 2 miles from the second cs term. Karen is probably only .5 mile from Canada Place (main term). I would bet the hard-core LC bunch here in Vancouver would go on a LC cruise to Alaska in a flash.

I do hope it works out for you to go... I'd love to hear about it and all the new LC friends you'd meet.

LOL. If you lived down here you would be surprise to think there were any Canadians left in Canada during the winter. Palm Bay/Melbourne is definately a "snowbird nest", as our population almost doubles over the winter.
Seriously though, if you wanted to come down and fly into Melbourne or Orlando, I could pick you up and get you to port.

Well, I finally booked the cruise this morning! I am definately excited. The travel agent told me they have been doing this cruise for 7 years and that the average weight loss during the 7 days is 5 pounds and 3 inches. Wow, can you imagine losing weight while on vacation?

WTG Atriana! Sounds like the best of both worlds. I am excited/leery about my upcoming winter holiday down south... the beach, the food, the alcohol. It must be great knowing that you wont have to worry about french fries and pasta

Please take notes and let us know what it was like!

Cool Wooohooo

Congrats!!!!

I'm so excited for you. When is the cruise? Can a vacation get any better than one where ALL the food set before you is LC? Maybe I should email Dr A and suggest an Alaska cruise out of Vancouver (Rachel's idea I think). The exchange rate is great for Americans. I'll think about it and in the meantime, dream of LC cruising.

Hi Ruth,
This cruise is April 14th. There is one this week, to Greece, way too expensive for me! If you can talk them into an Alaska cruise, count me in too!

Thumbs up Waaay to go!

Atriana,
You'll have to let us know how the cruise was...the LC food, the entertainment & activities! It sounds like you're going to have so much fun!

I've only been to Canada three times. Once for a couple of weeks driving around Nova Scotia (it was a dream vacation I loved it!), once to Toronto and a few days driving around BC, enjoying the wilderness and checking out Vancouver. I'd love to take another trip up there to get on an Atkins cruise to Alaska.

Does anyone know where we can e-mail to make such a suggestion to ATkins?
