quote from link above:

Quote:
A healthy 6-foot man weighing 258 pounds would normally qualify as obese, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (search). At 195 pounds, he would be considered overweight.

I believe that they must have based this on reported weight and height and then calculated BMI from that which puts Dr. A at a BMI 26. However...BMI doesn't take into account muscle mass and other indicators of overweight. According to just BMI, Arnold S is morbidly obese. Any volunteers to deliver that news to him?
According to height/weight charts adjusted for age, Dr. A was in the 95th percentile for height and about the 70th percentile for weight...hardly overweight.

I think we should save the link to that article Rosetattoo posted and send it to every single news source that quotes the PRCM. It's time that the media becomes more aware of what their real goals are.

Physicians for Responsible Medicine (search), the group that released the report and promotes a vegetarian diet,

That's way too mild. Promoting a vegetarian diet is all well and good and if that's all they did I wouldn't have a thing to say. It's their vastly unethical tactics that I question. And that's what the media should focus on.

I guess we should be happy that now they are at least hinting at the PCRM's agenda. Wasn't so long ago they simply passed them off as "concerned pysicians"
