Somewhere in one of the threads is a link to a site that discusses this very issue.
Roughly paraphrased, you will lose weight between your knees and your bellybutton LAST! By the time you get to losing the last of your stubborn middle body fat, your face may look too thin for your liking...don't worry. Once you reach your goal weight, your body will do some re-distributing of your (healthy) fat stores and you will see your face smooth out a bit and the tummy slim down a bit, and that re-distribution takes weeks to finish.
That said, especially if you are using walking or running as your cardio, your legs and tushie will firm up wonderfully, making them look much better even if you are still carrying a big layer of fat. My mantra: fat with muscle under it always looks better than fat all alone!
