Don't rely too much on ketostix to tell you if you are in ketosis - there are lots of reasons forthem to show different colours! Most people rely on inches & weight lost to tell if they are or not.

It might be helpful if you post a couple of days menus so people can see where you are going wrong

Hello again,

watch out for the fitday measurements - did you really eat 4 cups of bacon pieces?

try to get the weights/volumes of food as close as poss to make sure you are getting the right amount of fat/protein etc.

Have you had any luck with the ketostix?

Oh and congrats on the water - i find it hard to drink 90 oz

hey smilinka,

One thing I have noticed with the ketostix is that if you drink alot of water, they show up as pale, pale pink to neutral. When I don't get all the water I should, they tend to be really deep purple. My diet doesn't change at all, so I have concluded I am in ketosis and am probably producing the same amount of ketones, but my urine is so diluted from all the H2O that they don't register. Hope that helps some. It may be the case for you since I see you drink alot of water, which is great!
