Question Anyone Have Trouble Getting Carbs In Your Diet?

Does anyone here have trouble getting at least 20 carbs in their diet a day during the induction period. I am on my third month of induction and find that I have problems reaching 20 grams a day without it being 3 cups brocolli along with my cheese. Anyone else like this?

I had that problem as well, but then I moved my food intake to induction levels, but with OWL options. Adding back in nuts/seed, berries, etc helped bring my levels up a bit.

Only start of 4th week here, but I had trouble getting in the carbs from day one. I usually count cheeses or anything that says less than 1 and find that helps. However unless I jack it up with asparagus I'm still below 10 on a 20 carb day.

When I was doing KISS I would get 15g net max most days. I would have veggies with every meal, and typically 2 kinds with dinner. The fiber count was so high that my net carbs stayed low. A typical day for me was

2 eggs with either zucchini hashbrowns or spinach/mayo omlette

Large salad (around 5 cups at least) with diced meat and olive oil for dressing.

Meat with 2 servings of veggies such as spaghetti squash and brussle sprouts, or other green like asperagus or broccoli cauliflower mix. I would also do pumpkin puree for dessert occasionaly, adding another veggie.

Jicama mock applesauce for a snack.

Try adding a wider variety of veggies to your menus ... a handful of cherry tomatoes in your salad, or some brussels sprouts, cabbage, green beans. Half an avocado will give you approx. 4g net carbs, lots of fiber and monounsaturate fat.

Since you're past the initial 2 weeks of Induction, you can safely add some berries and other low carb fruits to your menu. Half a cup of plain full fat yogurt will provide roughly 4g carbs as well, and you can add your own sweetener and flavourings.
