Hi everyone! I'm new to your site! Last year my Doc ask me to go on a low carb diet...cut out all white food. So a year later and 20 or so pounds lost. I find myself here. I exersice 4 days a week and eat NO sugar, No white flour, rice, or potatoes!! Its working for me. Well, thanks for having me hope to talk woth you all soon. Gini

Feel free to look into the different specific LC plans if you're interested in taking it a step further. Most of us here follow Atkins, Protein Power, SBD, etc. The books are a really interesting read.

It's great that your doctor recommended this. Too many people are stuck on the low-fat merry-go-round that doesn't go anywhere.

My doc suggeted this lifestyle also after back surg.,it is really good to know more medical professionals are taking a closer look at this and advising their pt's down the right path for a healthy life!!
