Go with the lowest weight. Or maybe average 3 weights together.

I generally weigh first thing in the morning, no clothing of course.

Most inexpensive home scales are not that accurate. If they have a margin of error of 1% (a very reasonable error) then your weight can vary by as much as 2.6 lbs when you step on and off the scale at your weight.

Go with the lowest! Or average if you want to be more accurate. The bottom line is that you're looking for progress, and you're definitely seeing it according to your stats.

Also, I'm sure you know that our body weight can vary by several pounds during the day. I always way myself with no clothes first thing in the morning.

Keep up the good work!

Yes this has happened to me. I know that it will read differently each time so now I only weigh once in the morning. Seems to work for me. I can go up as high as 4 pounds during the day so instead of haveing to read all the different weights I just go with my morning reading and stick to that.

That happened to me all the time until I bought a new digital scale. Now I can get on and off 50 times and it reads the same.

Where did you get that digital scale Catfish? My digital scale stinks! It gives a diffeent weight just about every time I get on. I go with the "weigh myself 3 times then take the average" plan.

I weigh myself 2 or 3 times til I see the same number 2ce, then that is the number for the day. A lower number doesn't count unless I see it 2ce.

I have a terrible addiction.

I get on in the morning - empty bladder, naked

Then I shower and get on again as soon as I dry my hair - don't want the extra weight from the water to show up. I usually lose a pound or so in the shower. I guess I must be pretty dirty

I try not to get on again until evening before I get ready for bed - clothes put on extra weight. I am usually up 3-4 lbs. in the evening.

Some days I am feeling skinny so I will jump on just to see if I am - a big dissapointment every time.

I have a digital scale and it is always different. I could weigh myself, wait 5-10 min. and do it again and gain 1-2 lbs.

The scale mostly makes me miserable and crushes my spirits but I just can't seem to break the addiction.

Some scales vary also depending on where they sit on the floor. My scale not only gives me a different weight each time I step on it, it will also vary by about 3 lbs if I move it a foot to the right. Go figure.

It also will give a different weight if I put my weight on my left leg or my right leg or stand on both legs evenly. That makes sense, though, because of the sensors in the scale.

I have a cheap, ancient bathroom scale. I set it to weigh about 4 pounds on the heavy side of the scale I officially weigh in on weekly. It makes me feel better for some reason. I usually don't weigh a lot until it gets close to official weigh in day each week, then I start checking to make sure I am going in the right direction.

I had an old, cheap scale that would do that to me too....I finally threw it away and just weighed at my doc's office each month. My hubby bought me a new professional Taylor scale for Christmas...I get on it every morning over and over hoping it will give me a smaller reading. LOL. It doesn't...it's the same every time. As with most things...cost DOES matter....the more you pay, the better the quality. Get rid of the scale. If you can't afford another one, weigh at your doc's office once a month until you can. It will save your sanity!

perhaps your scale is not leveled or strain gauged.

I usually only weigh myself once in the AM and jot that number down. I use a Salter strain gauged that is digital.
